Hello everyone, this release focuses on making the things you already rely on more reliable!
We completely rebuilt social saves, added a table view for your home page and expanded AI languages (now supporting 62 languages) and more models on Max. There is also an incredible customer story to check out and an open AMA with a Recall power user on building a second brain running through the end of the week.
What's New
Stronger social saves
We released social support around two weeks ago, but ran into many hiccups where Instagram transcripts or articles were not fully saved. We completely rebuilt the way we capture, transcribe, and present social content, and we are excited to relaunch it. Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Facebook posts now save more reliably, with the post embed and the extracted text together in the reader where it makes sense, including transcripts for video posts.
Table view for your library
On the Items page you can now switch to a table view to scan, sort, and manage your knowledge base more efficiently, including tags, sources (websites, notes, and PDFs), and connection counts.

More AI languages
AI language support is much broader - now supporting 62 languages! Choose the language you want for summaries, quizzes, and tags, including Traditional Chinese, with clearer separation from chat translation. Caption and transcript language matching is also more accurate for Simplified versus Traditional Chinese.

New AI models
More models are in the picker on the Max Plan, including GPT-5.6 Terra, GPT-5.6 Luna, and Grok 4.5, so you can pick the right model for the job. We'll be releasing more documentation on which model to use when, but here's a quick TLDR.

Customer story - Ricardo Yule's nine-step trails
Ricardo Yule shares how he went from almost abandoning his second brain to chatting with it every day. He shares his story in a Nine Trail Field Guide to Recall, as well as an interview with our marketing manager Nicole. We are also running an Ask Me Anything about second-brain workflows, open now and running through the end of the week. Drop your questions any time.

Improvements and Bugs
Improved AI for tags, connections, summaries, and quizzes
- Tags reuse your existing tree more often
- Connections focus on the core topics in a card rather than incidental mentions
- Summaries better separate concise vs detailed (with stronger accuracy checks, especially on YouTube); and
- Quizzes are more reliable, better balanced, and calibrated for learning.
Reading and library
- You can set Reader as your default tab again. Reorder your tabs so Reader comes first, and cards will open straight into the reading view.
- Scrollbars stay out of the way until you scroll
- Wikidata sources show a proper source icon on reference cards
- Simpler persona selection in chat - the last used persona is now the default.
Saving and reliability
- More resilient podcast transcript fetching when the transcript provider blips
- Sharing a link into Recall that fails to save no longer leaves you on a broken screen
- Deleting a note no longer removes images that are still used in other notes
Editor
- Markdown tables paste with working column resize and multi-cell selection
- Creating a connection from selected text returns focus to the editor
- Fixed crashes when searching for connections, editing complex lists, and applying formatting across table cells
Coming Next
For the next few weeks we will have a continued focus on improving reliability and giving you a smoother experience before tackling some of our more exciting features.
Also on the way:
- Improved search:By moving search results out of the modal and into the full-screen knowledge base, you will have more control and more actions available for each result.
- Improved chat:This will continue to be an ongoing investment, starting from chat-suggested questions through to an omnipresent chat and ongoing UI and UX improvements, like the ability to save multiple chat outputs to a single notebook.
- Safari extension:Yes, this is finally in the works.
- Faster, more reliable mobile sharing:Ideally you can share content to Recall, not wait for it to load, and trust that it will be saved to your knowledge base. This will be the first step in the development of the write API.
