Hi there, you can save a chat answer straight into a notebook using the "Add to notebook" button on any response, so a good answer doesn't get lost.

I am able to put a general chat summary into my Notebook. I don't see a way to do that with the new Knowledge Base chat feature after it has created a summary. Will this be available soon?

You can do that now. After Recall answers a chat question, you will see a row of icons below the reply. The icon looks like a sheet of paper with a "+" sign on it. Click that icon and your chat will be added to the Notebook.
If you ask more than one question, each question has it's own "ADD" button so you only add the replies you want to save.

If you use the chat button on the left side menu then you are creating a chat that is not attached to a card. So if there was a "+" icon, which card would it add the chat to? You would need to choose a card after hitting the plus icon and that could be something the team could add if it gets into their Roadmap.
On the other hand, if you are on a card already, then you have the "+" button there to add those chats to that card's notebook with one click.

For example, I ask the knowledge based "what is the insight you can see from my notes relevant to "A" topics?". I think the good scenario will be they summarise and provide insights for the notes in recall, and with the embed links to them that supporting the output, and adding tags of the topic "A", and "Summary". This also go with the same logic, when I want the chat to give me some MOC, TOC, advice, etc.
