Many mind mapping apps, including open source ones, also allow images (clipart, svg, etc) to be attached to nodes, either in place of text, or in addition to text. When mind mapping subjects, for writing projects, I find it helpful to supplement the node with an image. This can either be in the form of a category/tag image, or a diagram illustrating a nodes text to make it understandable at a glance. Thank you for all you efforts, they are really appreciated.
