I use the web app on my Mac but would like a Mac app for all the reasons stated below by others. A Safari version would be good. However, I have been using the iPad version which I greatly appreciate and find it very useful esp. when watching YouTube videos on my TV. I just use the iPad to process the videos from my YouTube a/c to the Recall app. Very handy.

Recall in the browser works exceptionally well. A desktop app means additional support for more platforms, which steals time from refining it and adding additional features.

If native apps were made --> additional time for supporting more platforms, that could be spent on improving the product --> IMHO, not so valuable now

If the browser is packed to make the desktop apps --> I see no benefit of using the app over using it in a browser (BTW, a lot of products are made like this)

IMHO, there are a lot more valuable features to be added rather than supporting desktop apps.

A native App would definitely make the experience better

Wrapping a web page as "app" is not a good experience in Chrome or Safari. it can be done but not the same as native app using native platform UI options.

Please consider that with Chrome/edge you can already install it as an app, and it will create a different window with a dedicated icon

I love that there is a Mac app, but I am very hesitant to pay a monthly subscription fee to a company whose cloud could disappear forever in a flash.

I need a self-hosted or desktop option that can't be taken away due to vendor closure or my own periodic financial crunches.

Could you also make a desktop app for Windows 11, please?
