Adding functionality to import or record audio from various sources, such as meetings, phone calls, and voice notes, and then automatically transcribe them into text.
This would be a huge step towards a full second brain knowledge system.

Hello everyone,
I think this is a great idea. In general, we're thinking about voice notes: having a widget on your phone and being able to very quickly add them. I'm curious about meeting transcription in general. What type of integration would you need? Could it just be as simple as uploading audio, as Ivan Ange suggested?

Sankari Nair what other apps do, like Tana or Evernote is having the capability to record and process the transcript. That would be the ideal scenario for me. Thanks.

Sankari Nair What would actually make a lot of sense is being able to add multiple short voice notes throughout the day (these would be collected. And only at the end of the day concatenated and made available as one continuous transcript).
This would then gather everything into one daily note, and at the end of the day you could then decide what to do with all those snippets. Normally, at the end of the day, a kind of summary would be created, like a journal entry.
Where all the insights and information get summarized in long text, then maybe the action points get listed, the to-dos so to speak. And other essential content gets extracted, so that you have a structured overview per day of everything you dictated.
But it's also important that you still have access to the clean transcript that you dictated. That should then be available at the bottom of the note - or as usual, in the "Reader" tab.
If you wanted to improve the whole thing even further, you could offer additional AI templates similar to Concise Summary or Long Summary. Ones that you could influence/customize.
- One to really keep a kind of journal/diary
- Another one that works more like a medical/clinical function - basically cleanly turning the different snippets into a textual, structured note, so it can potentially be sent to the secretary's office, so further work can be derived from it
- Possibly also other templates that might make sense, for whatever you could do with dictated notes throughout the day
I think the most important feature is being able to add different trains of thought that you dictate - later - into one whole.

This would be a great feature. As a work around, i currently use Gemini to transcribe and summarise, and then i ask it to provide a downloadable markdown file which i then add into recall. A bit of a two step process, but it works perfectly for now.

I hadn't thought about this, but would be fantastic. Especially if we had an option to use a local model for transcription and security.
